The nose on this wine is intensely fresh and ripe, with aromas of pear, white peach, lemon curd, oyster shell and sea foam.
The weight and mouthfeel on the palate is refreshing, ripe, soft and extremely welcoming.
The flavours are beautifully layered starting off with rich flavours of orchard fruit (pear and peach) and then finishing clean with a citrus note.
A very lively, bright and crisp example of a cool climate Chardonnay!
This Unoaked Chardonnay comes from the fruit of the Four Mile
Creek Appellation. All organically grown, hand harvested, sorted
and whole cluster pressed. Only the ripest and most pristine berries
made it through.
The style of this wine is to showcase the purity and freshness of
Chardonnay without the influence of oak. No malo lactic or residual
sugar was incorporated to preserve as much acidity in the wine
as possible. I stirred the lees weekly for 6 months, giving this wine
a soft and round mouthfeel and real freshness to this wine.
Food Pairing Notes
Enjoy this wine with dishes that have fresher elements. Dishes that aren’t overly spiced or sweet.
