The 2015 Chardonnay is a wonderful expression of its varietal. It is barrel fermented as well as barrel aged to enrich texture and build complexity in flavour. Pairs brilliantly with richer seafood, mushroom risotto or soft, creamy Camembert.
This 2016 Reserve Chardonnay was fermented in French oak barrels and then aged in the same barrel they fermented in. This gives the wine a creamy mouthfeel and the rich, warm flavours we want in a Chardonnay.
The 2015 Lonna’s Block Cabernet Franc is a deep ruby colour moving towards purple. Enjoy aromas of black cherry, wild thyme and well aged cigar tobacco. On the palate this wine is full-bodied with a velvety texture.
This special block of Cabernet Franc is dedicated to Norma-Jane’s late sister Lonna who cared for the horses that resided at the end of the Cabernet Franc vines near York Road. This wine pairs brilliantly with red meat.
This Cabernet Sauvignon was fermented in our 5 tonne oak tanks we call “fat boys”. These big wooden tanks allow for very slow changes in temperature within them. This makes for a nice controlled, balanced fermentation.
