Notes from a Taster

  • Eye: Pale straw
  • Nose: Peaches, honeycomb, pear, cantaloupe, quince, herbal tea
  • Palate: Matches the nose. A veritable fruit salad with earthy, herbal, and a slight petrol note added to the flavour profile
  • Body: Medium
  • Acidity: Balanced
  • Alcohol Perception: Low
  • Finish: Incredibly long with notes of ripe stone fruits and melon
  • Drink: Now to 2017

Final Words

This is a very fun Riesling. Stylistically it falls somewhere between a premium Rhiengau Kabinett or Spatlese. The low alcohol really allows the botrytis induced flavour profile to shine…not to mention lowers the feeling of guilt over pouring yourself a second glass. Best served well chilled.
