Notes from a Taster

  • Eye: Red brick hue with garnet core
  • Nose: This is classic franc! Cocoa, coffee, pencil shavings, red currants, and herbaceous
  • Palate: Matches the nose with red fruits on the mid-Palate with cocoa, coffee and barrel spice rounding out the wine.
  • Body: Medium
  • Acidity: Bright
  • Alcohol Perception: Balanced
  • Finish: Very long with notes of barrel spice and cocoa
  • Drink: Now to 2014

Final Words

This is a very sexy Cabernet Franc. It is not as heavy or dark as its drought-spawned 2007 vintage sibling but is instead a delicate and medium bodied Franc with all the hallmarkings of a varietal classic.
